JET’s editor in chier Mitzi Miller publicly apologized to Fantasia on behalf of JET for the cover that the singer did not approve of. But that was an apology for public, because on her personal Facebook, Mitzi was unapologetic, saying:
“The fact that I wasted an hour of my workday writing a press release to address an issue created by a person who cannot even read it is just… #whyiwannaBahousewife.”
Her “loyal” FB friends didn’t stay indifferent to the issue and Mitzi’s status quickly became public. After all the criticism, Mitzi had to publicly apologize once again:
“I apologize for the lack of sensitivity shown in my FaceBook post. It was a thoughtless comment made during a moment of frustration. It was unprofessional and not representative of the JETmission, which is to uplift. I regret letting my emotions get the best of me. I am truly apologetic.
Mitzi Miller, Editor in Chief, JET”
But who would believe that this apology was sincere? I personally do not and if I was Fantasia I would never ever work with JET magazine again. As an editor in chief it’s extremely unprofessional and disgraceful.
